ServiceFM introduces cleaning robots at Adelaide Airport

ServiceFM deploys cleaning robots at Adelaide Airport.

Adelaide Airport has become one of the first airports in Australia with cleaning robots after being deployed by workplace environment specialist, ServiceFM.

The Avidbots Neo 2 cleaning robots are equipped with intelligent software, advanced sensors, and a wide range of cleaning tools, enabling them to efficiently and effectively sanitise the airport terminal.

“We are excited to introduce cutting-edge cleaning robots in collaboration with ServiceFM at Adelaide Airport,” said Dermot O’Neill, Adelaide Airport’s executive general manager, people, culture, and customer.

“This initiative aligns with our commitment to providing a safe and hygienic environment for passengers and staff. The introduction of these advanced robots will enhance our cleaning operations and contribute to the overall well-being of our airport community,” said O’Neill.

ServiceFM’s managing director, James Pollock, said the robots are a proven way of delivering a better work environment to the airport.

“The cleaning robots will revolutionise the airport cleaning process, ensuring a higher level of cleanliness and hygiene. This collaboration underscores our dedication to leveraging technology for the benefit of our clients, their customers and our staff.”

Pollock said with the reduction in the need for a manual clean, cleaning staff have been given the opportunity to upskill and redeploy to other areas of the business.
