Ecolab increases fourth-quarter sales

Ecolab reports fourth-quarter net sales of US$3.67b, an increase of 9 per cent from $3.36b a year ago.

Ecolab Inc. has reported fourth-quarter net sales of US$3.67 billion, an increase of 9 per cent from $3.36 billion a year ago.

Ecolab’s fourth-quarter profit increased to $399.2 million, up from $387.7 million in the same quarter a year earlier.

Sales in the company’s global institutional and specialty division jumped 11 per cent to $1.15 billion, while its global industrial division boosted sales 14 per cent to $1.86 billion.

Ecolab’s global health care and life sciences division saw sales climb 45 per cent from $296.8 million to $431.1 million in the fourth quarter of 2022.

“We delivered the fourth quarter with strong operating performance in line with our expectations, finishing 2022 with good momentum as fixed currency adjusted operating income growth accelerated to 14 per cent,” said Christophe Beck, Ecolab chairman and CEO.

“Our sales growth remained strong with double-digit pricing that continued to exceed substantial delivered product cost inflation.”
