Ecolab Inc. has reported first-quarter net sales of US$3.26 billion, a rise of 13 per cent from $2.88 billion one year earlier.
Ecolab’s first-quarter profit decreased slightly from $297.3 million, or $0.67 per share, one year ago to $254.5 million, or $0.60 per share.
Sales in the company’s global institutional and specialty division jumped 19 per cent to $1 billion while its global industrial division increased sales 12 per cent to $1.58 billion.
Ecolab’s global health care and life sciences division saw sales climb 29 per cent from $281.1 million to $362.6 million in the first quarter of 2022.
