The Building Service Contractors Association of Australia (BSCAA) NSW division has appointed its president and board of directors for 2019-2021.

Announced at its annual general meeting on Friday 7 June, current president Debbie Delimitros (company) was re-elected president, with Jamie Halfhide (company) appointed vice president and secretary.

Elected executive committee members include Denis Boulais (company), Sonja Busse (company), Terry Corby (company), Dean Graoroski (company), Nicholas Jenkinson (company), Ravindra Naidoo (company) and Charlie Vasilas (company).

Olivia Tyler, director Sustainable Business Services at Westpac also presented during the AGM on the Modern Slavery Act and its impact on cleaning contractors.

Gerard Foley, industry relationship manager, industry distribution, prevention and underwriting at icare, also spoke about workers’ compensation and trends in the cleaning industry.

The date of the 2019 BSCAA NSW Australian Super Excellence Awards was also announced during the meeting. The event will be held on Friday 11 October 2019 at the Swissotel Sydney.
