The Building Service Contractors Association of Australia (BSCAA) has celebrated the outstanding achievements of its members across the NSW and Qld divisions with each state hosting its 2012 Excellence Awards, sponsored by AustralianSuper.

In the words of BSCAA national president Terry Corby, “we have the greatest people, in the greatest industry, in the greatest country in the world,” and for both states, it was a day to pay tribute to those that have worked the hardest and achieved the greatest over the past year.

It was an afternoon of accolades at the NSW division Excellence Awards lunch held at Curzon Hall, Marsfield (Sydney) on 8 November. There were 71 award nominees, with more than 180 attendees, including 10 new member companies nominating for the first time.

There were nine sponsors for the AustralianSuper individual and supervisor category awards, while the key awards were presented by major sponsors Lennox Institute, Agar Cleaning Systems and Hako Australia.

Two weeks before, the Qld division Excellence Awards lunch was held at The Pavilion, Allan Border Field (Breakfast Creek) on 25 October where 120 people attended and 22 awards were presented.

A total of 31 nominations presented the judges with an unenviable task of sorting through the eligibility criteria to produce the outstanding individuals, support personnel, junior managers and outstanding company. Major sponsors were AustralianSuper, QLeave Portable Long Service Leave Authority and Kimberly Clark.

Congratulations to all award recipients!
