APCO elects new brand owner board director

APCO appoints Officeworks' head of ESG and corporate affairs as a new brand owner board director for 2023.

The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) has appointed Fiona Lawrie, head of ESG and corporate affairs, Officeworks, as a new brand owner board director for 2023.

Lawrie, who replaces Adrian Cullen, was elected at APCO’s General Meeting. The position runs until the close of the Annual General Meeting 2024, which is in line with the board’s planned election rotation for directors.

Sam Andersen, board chair APCO, said Lawrie brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the board.

“With her unique skill set, I am confident that she will make a significant contribution to driving growth and innovation in the coming years. The Candidate Assessment Panel was very impressed with the calibre of the candidates this year, and the Board extends our gratitude to all nominees for their time, effort, and commitment to serving the Members of APCO. The addition of diverse skills and expertise to our group will undoubtedly serve us well as we work toward the National Packaging Targets,” said Andersen.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our outgoing board director, Adrian Cullen. Adrian’s unwavering support for APCO and his valuable contributions to our Board have been instrumental in our progress, and we are grateful for his generosity in sharing his vast knowledge and experience for the benefit of all APCO members.”
