World Federation of Building Service ContractorsWith six months to go until the World Federation of Building Service Contractors (WFBSC) Congress 2012 opens, the event already has some 700 registrations with the 1000-plus target well in sight.

To be held 10 to 14 October in Curitiba, Brazil, the Congress has delegate registrations from 13 countries including the United States, China, Japan, Germany, Mexico, United Kingdom, Australia, South Korea, Chile, Taiwan, South Africa, Netherlands and Russia.

According to the WFBSC president, Adonai Aires de Arruda, several factors have contributed to the very positive Congress response from BSC executives worldwide

“The union of the Brazilian cleaning-related services contractor associations enabled us to start organising the meeting well in advance, thus favouring international attendance by providing foreigners with ample time to plan,” Aires de Arruda explained.

“Another initiative worth mentioning is our presence in international trade fairs and conferences in the same industry. Last year alone we went to five countries to present the Brazilian edition to leaders and businesspeople

“Our efforts to bring international delegates aims at enriching the exchange of experience and favouring business generation,” he added.

The WFBSC Congress is promoted by the World Federation of Building Service Contractors; Sindicato das Empresas de Asseio e Conservação do Estado do Paraná (SEAC-PR); Federação Nacional das Empresas de Serviços e Limpeza Ambiental (FEBRAC); and Associação Brasileira do Mercado de Limpeza Profissional (ABRALIMP).

As well as numerous local bodies, the Congress is supported by Pulire/Afidamp, the International Executive Housekeepers Association (IEHA), World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) and Revista Higiplus.

The Congress’s Brazilian edition is sponsored by Diversey, Karcher, Indústrias Becker, Alfa Tennant, UPS Serviços, Seven Uniformes, Leone Equipamentos, Sutter Professional and Confederação Nacional do Comércio (CNC).
