Tennant releases sustainability report

Report details the company’s new Thriving People, Healthy Planet framework.

Tennant Co. has released its annual Sustainability Report.

The report highlights Tennant’s achievements for the 2022 fiscal year and details the company’s new Thriving People, Healthy Planet framework.

The study also marks the conclusion of the company’s previous sustainability strategy, developed in 2014.

As part of its new strategy, Tennant announced plans earlier this year to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 by 2040.

“By embedding sustainability into how we work, we’ll continue to deliver solutions that help our customers solve their biggest challenges and meet their sustainability targets,” said Dave Huml, Tennant president and CEO.

“Working within our own business and with our stakeholders, we’ll help people thrive and contribute to a healthier planet.”

With the launch of this year’s report, Tennant has announced its second set of goals under the company’s new framework: a new ambition to increase the percentage of women in leadership by 50 per cent by the end of 2030.

“At Tennant, we are setting bold commitments to build and champion an inclusive workforce that represents the diversity of our customers and the communities we serve,” said Reilly Goodwin, director of sustainability and ESG.

“We believe that increasing representation in our workforce and in leadership is a business imperative, which is why we are announcing our first set of actions to increase the number of women in leadership roles at Tennant.”
