Delivering an excellent mix of product information and networking opportunities, the Professional Executive Housekeeper’s Network (PEHN) ‘mini trade show’ was a success for exhibitors and executive housekeepers.
Held at Melbourne’s Crown Promenade on 16 July, the event was hosted by PEHN’s president Marian Stratford and her committee.
The late afternoon, early evening, scheduling made for a relaxed environment. Executive housekeepers and other interested buyers were able to talk with a raft of suppliers and have a hands-on product experience.
The cleaning and hygiene segment was well represented with firms including Interclean, Metwood, Jasol and Odour Management participating.
Other segments well covered included uniforms, linen, technology and premium amenities.
“This year the attendance numbers increased again and some suppliers had to be turned away due to lack of space,” observed Stratford. “This event just gets bigger each year,” she added.
Stratford noted that PEHN has a number of events planned for the remainder of 2013 including a tour of the South Pacific Laundry next month; a mini Olympics celebrating International Housekeeper’s Week in September; the annual general meeting in October; and the December Christmas Party.
