Professional Executive Housekeeper’s Network (PEHN) recently held a Mini Trade Show at Melbourne’s Crown Promenade Hotel to showcase a number of new products and services to its members. The diverse range of exhibitors included suppliers of cleaning equipment and supplies, laundry linen and equipment, chocolates, teas, beds, guest amenities, corporate merchandise, technology (housekeeping software, etc) and uniforms.

The show was well attended with visitors from all areas of the industry including executive housekeepers, housekeeping staff, general managers, purchasing managers and representatives from trade colleges. In a nice touch, seldom seen at trade shows, each exhibitor was given the opportunity to make a short presentation to all the visitors before they visited the displays. Prizes were also awarded to visitors who responded correctly to a number of trivia questions about the products on display.

Marian Stratford, Crown Metropol’s quality assurance manager and president of PEHN was delighted with the response to the show. “PEHN’s goal is to get housekeepers and suppliers in touch with each other and for suppliers to share the latest trends and knowledge with housekeepers to keep them up to date and well informed,” she shared. “This year’s trade show was bigger and better than last year and is becoming very popular.”

Exhibitor companies included: Hospitality Textiles, Metwood Australia Pty. Ltd., Hy.Giene Australia, R. Weatherdon, Sealy Australia, Cabrini Laundry, PC Corporate, Technology 4 Hotels, Zemyna Massage Therapy, Madame Flavour, South Pacific Supplies, Chocolate Print, Scuttle Clothing, Equipe Solutions, International Interior Images and Joseph Corporate Merchandise.
