Record numbers on day one set the scene for a successful Pulire 2011

Some 20 percent of exhibitors participating at Pulire Italy 2011 are doing so for the first time, reflecting the cleaning and hygiene industry’s strength in terms of revenues and attractiveness to new players. The 20th Pulire, which is running from 24 to 26 May, is being held at its traditional Verona locale – Veronafiere.

Hosted by afidamp servizi, Pulire is hosting some 300 exhibitors across an exhibition area of 16,000 square metres, significantly up on previous events. It is expected that over the three days visitor traffic will reach a record 20,000 cleaning industry execs.

While Pulire Italy has a strong floorcare tradition, today it is certainly a comprehensive event covering jansan, paper, chemicals and accessories such as battery technology.

For many manufacturers, particularly Italian companies, Pulire is the time to launch new products and systems.

For this writer, it will take a busy three days to cover Pulire’s five halls. Fortunately those halls are airconditioned as temperatures break the 30 deg C – a little warmer than usual at this time of the year in the city made famous by Romeo and Juliet.

I will participate on the Innovation Award judging committee, which will make its decision this Thursday.
