As the ISSA/Interclean Central & Eastern Europe event opened (24 April in Warsaw), Karcher’s KM 105/100 R P compact ride-on sweeper and the Touch-less Disinfecting Services from Sanoserv were announced as winners of Golden Broom Innovation Award.
The KM 105/100 R is said to be a ‘completely new’ compact ride-on sweeper in the 1 metre working width class. It is equipped with an automatic filter cleaning device; and the Karcher Intelligent Key in combination with a new operating panel, which ‘leads the user and the service through the entire machine’.
A new main broom concept and a self-adjusting pressure device control the main broom’s footprint in three eligible steps (eco, medium, heavy).
The latest generation of Sanoserv touch-less disinfection solutions combine the effect of both spraying devices and disinfectants. The disinfectant is highly effective, oxidising disinfectant that kills 99.99% of all hazardous germs and bacteria without posing a threat to humans, animals or plants.
The event’s organiser pointed out that ‘research and development is vital for the future of businesses, and for a sustainable future. The Golden Broom Award strives to encourage this by rewarding innovation.’
The jury, comprised of industry media, noted, “The products and technologies entered for this years’ Golden Broom competition showed innovative use of technology, solutions for an everyday problem and services to fulfill customers’ needs better. It was a difficult task to elect the eventual winners from such an array of diverse and innovative products.”
