ISS says it is strengthening and expanding its executive group management board in appointing John Peri as group chief operating Officer (COO) Americas and Asia Pacific. He will report to group chief executive officer Jeff Gravenhorst, together with Henrik Andersen who was appointed Group COO Europe earlier in 2013.
The ISS operations in the Americas and Asia Pacific cover more than 20 countries with a total of 261,371 employees.
Peri was most recently the COO of Celestica Inc., which is publicly traded on both the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange, and is a global outsourcer of electronic manufacturing services.
He has held numerous roles with Celestica and was a founding member of the management team when the company was spun off from IBM and acquired by private equity owners in 1996.
Peri has also had a number of international roles including senior vice president of US operations, president of Asia Region and as executive vice president for global operations. His most recent role with Celestica was COO, reporting to the president and CEO.
