Entries are now open for Total Facilities’ 2018 Best Bathroom Competition.
Sponsored by Initial, the competition, which is in its fourth year running, is organised by the Australian facilities management exhibition Total Facilities. The exhibition is taking place 18 to 19 April at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
“The aim of the competition is not only to advocate washroom well being, but also to encourage awareness of some of the best bathrooms in Australia among facilities and workplace management professionals,” said Andrew Lawson, Total Facilities event manager.
“The bar was set extremely high in 2017 with Brisbane International Airport Terminal taking out the top spot. We can’t wait to see what’s in store this year.”
To enter a bathroom located in an Australian public or private building, candidates must be a professional working within the facilities function at their workplace and be able to provide photographic evidence of the bathroom.
Bathroom entries are judged on design, innovation, aesthetics and products and services that improve well being for everyone.
“We’ve noticed a real change around the focus on bathrooms across the facilities management sector. With technology influencing and enhancing the experience, we are excited to see more of these innovations in the future,” said Initial marketing manager Tania Dalton.
Candidates can enter via the Total Facilities website by writing in 50 words or less why their bathroom is the best Australia has to offer. Entries are now open until Wednesday 13 March and will be judged by a panel based on eligibility, style, comments and cooperation with the process.
Finalists will be announced via the Total Facilities website and Twitter page on Monday 19 March and the winner will be announced on Wednesday 18 April.
