Cyndan took the opportunity to offer those affected by the Queensland floods 20 percent free product on top of their existing orders in order to help in the cleanup and sanitisation process.
The company pointed out that a major problem which occurs with flooding, other than the obvious immediate devastation, is the aftermath. Raw sewerage contaminates flooded areas so that the waters and subsequent soil and substrates are bacteria ridden.
That can create further issues such as the spread of disease to people and surviving livestock.
Cyndan has a number of products in its portfolio that help in this cleaning up process.
Algae Died B is a sanitiser and algaecide that also kills black spot. AQUIS approved and recommended by many EPA departments, it is used by councils and farmers to sanitise the ground after waters have subsided.
Janene Fuchs, one of Cyndan’s consultants in the Queensland area commented that, “Our customers, which include councils, piggeries, and dairies, use Algae Died B as it is completely safe to the environment and is safe to use in waterways.
“Used at a diluted rate, Algae Died B is sprayed onto the flooded and contaminated areas. When the EPA returns to conduct tests of the soil, they are back to normal, and they love the fact that is environmentally friendly.”
Another product that assists in flood affected areas is Dual 100, a high grade disinfectant, with TGA approval, that sterilises public areas while leaving a residual fragrance.
Other suitable products include Moisture stripper, which displaces moisture and water from mechanical and electrical components and coats and lubricates the area; Water sponge cystals that absorb about 300 litres of water per 100grams of crystals for easy mechanical removal; and Odourless, an odour neutralising compound that contains enzymes which destroy odour carrying bacteria.
