CleanNZ Expo announces education program

Speaker line-up released for next month's CleanNZ Expo in Auckland.

The education program for this year’s highly anticipated CleanNZ Expo has been released.

CleanNZ Expo is the largest dedicated trade event for New Zealand’s commercial cleaning industry.

The event is shaping up to be bigger than ever, with more 30 exhibitors and two days of professional development sessions for building service contractors, business owners, facilities managers, and suppliers.

The event will take place at Ellerslie Events Centre on Tuesday 25 October and Wednesday 25 October.

The event’s education program will be held across both days.

Sarah McBride, CEO of the Building Service Contractors Association of New Zealand (BSCNZ), said the education sessions will focus on employment law, health and safety, industry best practice, and indoor air quality.

For the first time, St Johns will host two-hour health and safety training sessions for delegates across both days of the expo.

“The BSCNZ, in conjunction with Interpoint Events, is excited to welcome everyone to this year’s CleanNZ Expo. After more than two years, this is our opportunity to network, learn, and reconnect. We have a wide variety of industry topics being covered, but also topics which are relevant to the wider business community.”

McBride said the aim of the event’s education sessions is to educate, update, and inspire attendees.

“BSCNZ members are always striving to ensure they are compliant, but also offering their customers the best possible service.  Our program is designed and planned to offer attendees a wide variety of topics which will assist them in their journey to achieve this.

“In partnership with Careerforce, we have organised a fantastic line up of complimentary educational seminars.  Organise your team and come join the sessions covering the latest in cleaning, carpet cleaning, pest control, and health and safety.”

Speakers include:

  • Sandra Faye, St Johns
  • Sean Johnson, Restore Cleaning Restoration
  • Penny Barrett, Careerforce
  • Rebecca Mitchell, Solutions Partner, ACC
  • Callum McMillan, MBIE
  • Wendy Stephens, Sappho Creative Solutions
  • Karen Kavanagh, Rentokil Initial
