Clean-NZ_Industry_EDAlways one of the most enjoyable world cleaning industry events, Clean NZ 2014 again promises a wealth of education, product knowledge and networking opportunities. To be held at the picturesque Ellerslie Event Centre, Auckland, 29 and 30 May, it is supported by Building Service Contractors of New Zealand and complemented with the inaugural CleanSweep Awards.

An impressive conference speaker line-up includes Bug Control managing director Judy Forrest, marketing consultant Simon Cope, Diversey international business development BSC manager David Johnson, HR expert Samantha Gaad, Kimberly-Clark regional platform leader Aiden Boyce, and Cleaning Systems relationship manager Tim Warner.

A ‘Skills training in the cleaning industry’ session will see a panel comprising Career Force’s account leader Penny Rogers, business development consultant Penny Barrett and client engagement manager Andrew Saunders take its audience through an interactive session. Topics will include efficient integrated training and assessment packages; supporting literacy needs; and funding available to support training and assessments.

Forrest will discuss infection prevention in cleaning services as well as meeting best practice standards; Johnson will delve into reducing labour costs significantly through supply chain and other improvements; and Warner will offer technical advice on how best to clean various carpet fibres.

Cope’s ’15 secrets to creating a killer website and on-line presence’ will prove popular with executives in all segments of the cleaning and hygiene industry.

Employing people is one of the most problematical issues when running a business but Gaad will offer some insights to making HR a little easier while also explaining employers’ legal obligations.

Retaining tenants is of paramount concern to property management, and in turn BSCs. Boyce will talk about working with customers who believe in creating exceptional, and healthy, workplaces.
