The BSCAA Victorian Division held its 2012 Industry Excellence Awards at Melbourne’s Crown Casino. The event was the biggest of the year for the BSCAA and was attended by more than 120 members, guests and suppliers.

“We’ve taken the awards to another level,” said John Clohessy BSCAA Victorian executive director. “By making it an evening Christmas dinner/dance it also gave people an opportunity to get together and celebrate the year as well as recognise excellence in the cleaning industry.”

BSCAA Victoria president George Stamas agreed wholeheartedly. “It’s important to promote and recognise excellence in this industry. All finalist nominees were recognised at the award presentations with award certificates as well as the actual winners. We also acknowledge the great support we get from our suppliers. This was our largest Industry Excellence Awards presentations to date.”

Companies that proudly sponsored the Industry Excellence Awards were included Central Cleaning Supplies, Agar Cleaning Systems, CiMAS Technologies, Hako Australia, AustralianSuper, Rapid Group, Lennox Institute, Nilfisk-Advance, Pink Hygiene, Hays & Associates, Kimberly-Clark, Melbourne Cleaning Supplies and Alpine Chemicals.

The awards were presented in two sessions with a break for a motivational and inspiring address from Paralympian Carol Cook, who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis and who encouraged people to follow their beliefs and passions and never give up.
