ARA Indigenous Services announces partnership with Airservices Australia

ARA Indigenous Services named Airservices Australia's new national cleaning services partner.

ARA Indigenous Services has been announced as Airservices Australia’s new national cleaning services partner.

The new partnership follows a procurement review undertaken by Airservices in 2022 for a new cleaning and hygiene services contract across all its staffed facilities.

Airservices sought to engage and empower its workforce by asking employees to participate in monthly cleaning inspections as part of their key performance indicators and to provide feedback on the quality of services provided.

This led to the engagement of ARA Indigenous Services, a certified member of Supply Nation, which has a  experience in providing cleaning and hygiene services for the aviation sector.

According to ARA Indigenous Services,  it will be investing in Indigenous engagement at all levels within the organisation and will assist Airservices Australia to achieve their Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) targets.

“ARA Indigenous Services is very near and dear to our hearts, and we are very proud of what we have achieved so far and always looking at creating more opportunities for our people,” said Michael O’Loughlin, managing eirector, ARA Indigenous Services.

“Thanks to Airservices Australia, we will be able to increase employment of Indigenous people and give back to community and increase cultural awareness.”

Leith Jensen, category manager of Airservices, said ARA Indigenous Services will help Airservices to develop partnerships with Indigenous suppliers and communities

“We are eager to enhance our commitment to our Supplier diversity and continue to achieve our targets in this area.”
