Abco releases sustainability report and is awarded EcoVadis bronze medal

Abco, one of Australia’s leading commercial cleaning products suppliers, recently announced the release of its inaugural Sustainability Report, highlighting the organisation's dedication to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) sustainability practices.

This comprehensive report underscores Abco’s ongoing efforts to prioritise sustainability across its operations and supply chain.

The Sustainability Report serves as a testament to Abco’s commitment to transparency and accountability in its ESG initiatives. It outlines key metrics, achievements, and objectives from the past year, offering stakeholders valuable insights into the company’s sustainability performance.

By providing this detailed overview, Abco aims to foster greater understanding and engagement with its customers, partners, and communities on shared ESG goals.

“We are thrilled to unveil our first annual Sustainability Report, which represents a significant milestone in Abco’s journey towards greater ESG sustainability,” said James Bagshaw, managing director of Abco.

“This report not only reflects our achievements over the past year but also sets the stage for continued progress and innovation in the years ahead.”

Following the release of the report, Abco was also awarded a Bronze Medal rating from EcoVadis, a leading provider of business sustainability ratings. This prestigious accolade places Abco among the top 35% of all businesses rated globally, with a ranking in the top 26% at the time of score publication.

The EcoVadis assessment evaluates companies across four key pillars: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, providing a comprehensive analysis of ESG performance.

“We are honoured to receive this recognition from EcoVadis, which underscores our commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability practices,” added Jacqueline Lewis, ESG, quality and compliance manager for Abco.

“Benchmarking against global standards helps us identify areas for enhancement and refine our strategies for maximum impact.”

Abco is looking to expand and grow their existing partnerships with the Indigenous Literacy Foundation and Greenfleet, as well as their range of Enviroplus products certified through GECA and Global GreenTag.

Abco’s Sustainability Report reaffirms the company’s dedication to responsible business practices and its role in driving positive change within the industry and beyond. As Abco continues to advance its ESG agenda, the organisation remains steadfast in its pursuit of sustainable growth and long-term value creation for all stakeholders.
