The World Federation of Building Service Contractors Congress 2012 will grant ‘Merit for Service’ and ‘Industry Benefactor’ awards that will recognise building service contractors firms and executives’ industry commitment and service.

The ‘Merit for Service’ award, created by the Federação Nacional das Empresas de Serviços e Limpeza Ambiental (FEBRAC), can be applied for at www.wfbsc2012.com

The award will be presented at the Congress, to be held in Curitiba, 10 to 14 October. ‘The award is aimed at recognising the services or merits of managers, individuals or entities worthy of the homage of the industry and other sectors encompassed by the federation.’

To qualify, companies must have completed 50, 30, 20 or 15 years of uninterrupted operation until August 15, 2012.

The ‘Industry Benefactor’ award will be granted to federal, state and local authorities, as well as to entrepreneurs or professionals who have in any way fostered or contributed to the consolidation of democratic ideas, the growth and activities of this industry.

Companies running for the ‘Merit for Service’ award will be divided into four categories: Diamond, companies  having completed 50 or more years of operation; Gold, companies in operation for 30 years; Silver, companies having completed 20 or more years of operation; and Bronze, companies in operation for 15 years. Only companies with at least three members registered for the International Congress, one of which is holding the main registration, will qualify.

Those granted the 2012 ‘Merit for Service’ and ‘Industry Benefactor’ awards may receive the maintenance certificate every two years, provided the award qualification and certification requirements are maintained, and will receive an award maintenance decoration until they move to another category. Awards for subsequent years will be granted in the countries hosting the WFBSC International Congress.
