The cleaning industry has lost one of its great characters with the passing of John Anderson, whose funeral was held in Nowra (NSW) on Friday 14 October.

John, well known for his quick wit and endearing personality, was a welcome visitor to many distributors, often accompanied by his faithful ‘sidekick’ Rusty the Labrador.

John spent his early days in the Navy, serving in Korea, before leaving the service to work in the cleaning supply industry. He was well known in his role as general manager of Electrolux commercial before moving on to represent Pacvac and finally as NSW representative for Polivac International.

He will be greatly missed.

John was a great supporter of INCLEAN magazine. He would regularly pop in and visit us at our home office or phone in from faraway places such as north Queensland, Tasmania or southern Western Australia.

John always had the interests of his distributor clients at heart, they were his professional and his personal life.

He loved the cleaning industry and it loved him.
