The UK’s Cleaning & Support Services Association (CSSA) is to terminate its role within the UK’s Building Futures Group (BFG) – the organisation formed less than a year ago by the merging of Asset Skills, the Facilities Management Association and the CSSA.

A joint statement from the CSSA chair and BFG chair, released mid-January, says:

“At its extraordinary general meeting held on Wednesday, December the 24th, 2014, members of the CSSA resolved to end the current merger process with the Building Futures Group. CSSA members wish to focus on the contract cleaning sector and are now considering their options.

“The Building Futures Group will continue to focus on the facilities management sector but also support the wider cleaning sector.”

The statement was signed by BFG chair Steve Davies and CSSA chair Peter Goodliffe.
