With flights cancelled, roads blocked and train stations transformed into river canals, Sydney’s phenomenal overnight storm on 15 October sent the transport network into chaos. In the vanguard of cleaning up a flooded Sydney Domestic Airport were Tennant’s versatile T16 ride-on auto scrubbers, presently used in the Airport.

‘Channel Nine News documented the airport clean up as operators used Tennant’s unsurpassed water recovery system to remove the large amount of water that had collected in the baggage claim area overnight,’ stated Tennant. ‘By engaging the vacuum water recovery system, Tennant machines allowed Sydney Airport staff to effectively recover the excess water with minimal disruption.’

On the other side of town, Tennant’s machines were used in cleaning some of Sydney’s largest and busiest train stations. Kennards Hire Concrete Care supplied Tennant walk-behind and ride-on scrubbers to deep clean platform floors.

‘Tennant’s emission-free, battery-powered solutions were perfect for the environmentally sensitive locations,’ noted the marketer.
