It’s pretty appropriate that a senior executive who knows a great deal about his company’s total product offering takes on the responsibility of international training. That’s what Nilfisk Advance group product manager Erich Schroeder has done and with gusto…
“Nilfisk is an organisation that is committed to taking good ideas to great ideas,” Schroeder told INCLEAN. The organisation’s impressive research and development resources, located in the US, Italy and Denmark, allow it to market machines that deliver true value.
An International Nilfisk Presenter at Nilfisk Australia’s 2015 Dealer Conference held mid-February, Schroeder imparted his impressive knowledge to local dealers, specifically in the auto scrubber/dryer segment.
“Typically, we took the ‘stand-on’ concept and refined it into a truly excellent machine such as the SC1500 with Ecoflex,” noted Schroeder when delivering his presentation on that machine. Although released last year, the conference was an excellent opportunity for dealers to become more knowledgeable about this model and the stand-on concept.
Schroeder then turned his attention to what was perhaps the day’s ‘hero’ product presentation, the SC500 battery auto scrubber/drier.
“The SC500 is the most technically advanced 53cm scrubber in the market, offering great productivity, lower total cost of operation, and an unprecedented ability to control all aspects of the machine,” he emphasised.
The premium-positioned SC500’s features and benefits are numerous. It is available as a Rev or disk (pad and brush) model; comes optional with Ecoflex; and has “the best squeegee system in the industry.”
Importantly, this model has a run time of up to five hours, a benefit that did arouse a ‘wow’ from the assembled dealers.
Another important debut for the dealer network is the SC2000 Micro Ride-on Scrubber/Dryer that is said to double the productivity of a walk-behind. It has similar features and benefits to the SC500 including a 53cm scrubbing width and Ecoflex technology but in a very compact, ride-on configuration.
The SC2000 has productivity rates of 3180 sq m per hour ‘theoretical’ and 2230 sq m per hour ‘actual’. Solution and recovery tanks are 70 litres while a silent mode function is ideal for daytime cleaning.
Schroeder’s new product launches were rounded off with the large SC6500 Ecoflex ride-on battery-powered scrubber/dryer is available in three deck widths and a choice of cylindrical or disc.
While not wanting to reveal any commercial ‘in-confidences’, Schroeder alluded to a number of exciting technological initiatives that will be released during 2015. He also pointed out that Nilfisk has “one of the largest on-line (training and educational) offerings” in the industry and invited those interested to check out the nilfisku.com site.
