Integrated facility services provider Spotless is a member of the just announced successful consortium that will build a new Bendigo (Victoria) hospital.
The Australian’s (1 June) Sarah Danckert reported that ‘Lend Lease has finalised a $630 million deal with the Victorian government to build the new Bendigo Hospital in regional Victoria.’
Lend Lease will design, construct, finance and maintain the hospital through a public-private partnership with the state government.
The company is part of the Exemplar Health consortium, which includes Capella Capital, Siemens and Spotless.
The new Bendigo Hospital will feature 372 in-patient beds, 10 operating theatres, an integrated cancer centre, a mental health unit and a helipad, as well as a mix of small commercial developments.
The works include a new hospital in addition to some minor refurbishment of heritage buildings.
