Timaru woman Neroli Arras claimed she was bullied and intimidated by her bosses while working for the cleaning contractor at Timaru Hospital in New Zealand.

‘The ERA ruled that Arras was unjustifiably dismissed because of bullying and intimidating behaviour by her manager, Gwenda Norton and supervisor, Judi de Lacey’.

Arras was awarded $10,000 for ‘humiliation, loss of dignity and injury to her feelings’.

This is the second time in a year there have been allegations against Spotless for staff bullying in the Timaru Hospital kitchen.

‘Christine Hickey, on behalf of the ERA, determined Norton and de Lacey did intimidate and bully Arras’.

Spotless has declined to comment and Arras could not be contacted for comment.
