With the inaugural INCLEAN Awards’ judging process now underway, it’s time for industry executives to book their seats and company tables at the AUSCLEAN Convention 2011 Industry Dinner – the INCLEAN Awards’ presentation venue. AUSCLEAN Convention 2011 will be held on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 September at Jupiter’s Casino, Gold Coast, with the Industry Dinner on the evening of 28 September.

The inaugural INCLEAN Awards will be presented for leading edge products and services. The categories are Cleaning Agents (chemicals/chemical systems); Equipment (machines); Paper and dispensing (washroom); Services (training etc) & Technology (IT software); and Janitorial items.

Reflecting innovation, they will recognise the significant investments made by product and services’ providers in their quest to deliver more efficient and effective cleaning and hygiene programs.

The busy two-day conference program is complemented by management, infection control and carpet technician workshops on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 – making the AUSCLEAN Convention a truly educational event.

A golf day on Thursday 29 will round off the action-packed week.

Visiting Australia for the first time, Conference keynote speaker Bill Griffin will present two sessions being ‘Emerging Trends and Issues for Cleaning Professionals’ and ‘Success and Failure – a Heart Beat Apart’.  International Custodial Advisors Network president and one of the US cleaning industry’s top educators, Griffin will prove a great drawcard so make sure you book your seat now.

A strong sustainability theme is reflected in Fresh Green Clean director Bridget Gardner’s ‘Negotiating the shifting landscape of sustainability reporting’ and local Diversey MD T. Balakrishnan’s ‘Creating Healthy High Performance Buildings’ sessions.

One of our industry’s most highly credentialed executive, Whiteley Corporation’s Greg Whiteley, will talk on ‘The future of cleaning in Contract Cleaning’.  As science progresses new ways are being found to shape the definition of cleaning, not just in ‘green’ and not just in ‘clean’. Some new scientific approaches have implications into how building cleaning contracts will be drafted. These new ways of cleaning measurement improve the practical supervision of cleaning contracts.

The emphasis in cleaning will shift from cost alone, onto measureable cleaning performance. The opportunities for contract cleaners to genuinely ‘value add’ through intelligent use of these tools, will potentially change the paradigm in contract cleaning. This talk will outline the best of the new methods and the likely impacts over the next decade.

As well as Lennox Institute and WoolSafe workshops, a co-located Mould Conference will be held by Jena-Dyco International.
