Despite Europe’s and the US’s economic problems, international event organisation Pulire has been busy expanding its territory and boosting its resources. “In recent months we have witnessed a number of very positive results and initiatives that confirm our confidence in the Pulire brand and what it brings to our industry,” stated Pulire CEO Toni D’Andrea.

Speaking with INCLEAN’S consulting editor Alan Hardcastle at the WFBSC 2012 Congress (Curitiba, Brazil), D’Andrea explained that a number of the world’s regions are demonstrating strong economic growth and a concomitant commitment to increased investment.

“The commercial cleaning and hygiene industry continues to perform better than most other industries in Europe and the US. And in other marketplaces it is doing particularly well.

“For instance, in our recently held Pulire Eurasia (Istanbul 27 to 29 September), attracted 2,785 ‘unique’ visitors, up 55 percent from 2010, 73 exhibitors, and 1,862 sq m of space sold,” D’Andrea noted. “There was a very buoyant mood at the show and feedback from both exhibitors and visitors has been most positive.

“Our Middle East event, Clean Middle East Pulire (27 to 29 November 2012) has already sold out its exhibition space and that reflects both the region’s economic strength as well as the Pulire brand acceptance.”

For Pulire and its parent Afidamp Servizi organisation, the home event in Verona (Italy) is perhaps the most critical exhibition in its growing event portfolio. Pulire Verona 2013 (21 to 23 May) is selling strongly and D’Andrea is confident of reaching a 14,500 sq m of exhibition space target (13,700 sq m achieved in 2011).

But being Europe-centric has never been D’Andrea’s approach. Under his direction Pulire is now involved in cleaning and hygiene events in Russia, the Middle East, Australasia, India, Spain, and now Africa.

D’Andrea was pleased to reveal that Pulire will now be involved with the Cleantex Africa event, his organisation’s first foray into that continent.

“Much of the detail has yet to be finalised but our first edition will take place in 2013, probably mid-year in Johannesburg.”

“We at Pulire have invested greatly in the past few years. Next year, with two important new events – Sydney with AUSCLEAN Pulire and Johannesburg with Cleantex Pulire – we are looking to the southern hemisphere with keen attention,” D’Andrea affirmed.

While Pulire grows its portfolio, it is also boosting internal resources as well as infrastructure.

Joining the Milan-based Pulire team is Camilla Binetti, who will work with operations manager Tania Noto. As well as supporting Noto on Pulire Verona, Binetti will also be involved with helping on AUSCLEAN Pulire.

The Pulire 2.0 [The Smart Show] concept is taking shape and D’Andrea will conduct introductory seminars with exhibitors later this year in Italy’s four key regions. Online tutorials for visitors will also be developed. The 2.0 ‘app’ will be ready (in Android and Apple) well in time for Pulire Verona.

The 2.0 aim significantly enhances the level of interaction between exhibitors and visitors by exploiting the great potential offered by the internet. In essence, 2.0 is an app that allows easy and fast two-way communication in order that both parties have access to a wealth of data on both parties’ offerings and credentials.
