Nilfisk creates outdoor divisionFollowing the acquisitions of equipment developer Jungo Voirie and contract manufacturer Hecker & Brian, Nilfisk-Advance has created a separate outdoor division. ‘By integrating all outdoor capabilities and competencies the Nilfisk-Advance Group will ensure strong and dedicated focus on the unique needs of the customers within the outdoor cleaning business.

‘The acquisition of Jungo Voirie and Hecker & Brian and the establishment of an outdoor division is a part of Nilfisk-Advance’s strategy to grow in both existing and new markets on a global level,’ said an 11 July press release.

The acquisitions, effective from 1 July 2011, are expected to deliver significant growth to the Nilfisk-Advance Group in the compact outdoor cleaning market.

“The acquisitions are a natural extension of the acquisition of Egholm earlier this year, and will further improve our ability to deliver high-quality, multi-purpose equipment to especially municipalities around the globe,” commented Jørgen Jensen, president and CEO of Nilfisk-Advance.

“Besides the highly competitive multi-purpose machine, the JungoJet 3500, the acquisitions also provide access to additional development resources that can ensure the future continuous development of our sub-compact and compact outdoor cleaning range,” he added.

Jungo Voirie is a development company located in Mulhouse, France. It specialises in development of outdoor multi-purpose cleaning equipment and attachments. The company was established in 2001 by Nicolas Jungo and has been responsible for development of the successful JungoJet 3500, which was launched in 2007 and today is sold in nine European countries.

A contract manufacturer located in Germany, Hecker & Brian is dedicated to producing the JungoJet 3500. The company was established in 2009 and employs 24 people.
