OCS New Zealand, has appointed Kim-Marie Griffiths to the role of general manager HR, Australia & New Zealand.

A former NZ-representative netball player, Griffiths’ career has included high-level HR roles at Accor, Telnet Services, and Downer.

Her most recent role has been as vice president – HR at Millennium, Copthorne & Kingsgate Hotels Ltd for the last eight years.

“Business in today’s world is a complex one as we manage the mix of service, technology and speed of communication,” said Griffiths.

“Management teams need to have sound business acumen, think on their feet and inspire people to deliver a customer experience that results in a positive reputation and ultimately reflect this on the bottom line. Industries in Australia and NZ are unique in that they offer those who work hard a pathway to senior management, a career with many options and a richness offered by interacting with people from many cultures. I’m looking forward to bringing my expertise to the OCS team.”

OCS New Zealand managing director, Gareth Marriott, said Griffiths’ appointment supports the company’s people strategy.

“During the last two years we’ve really honed our focus on the outcomes for our people right across our business. The pandemic further emphasised the importance of getting this right.

“We’ve spent a considerable amount of time and energy into ensuring we grow and support the wellbeing of our people and see this appointment as key to further developing our strategy.”
