Network Group’s 2014 conference is already shaping up to be another action packed, educational, event. It is part two of a well thought through ‘trilogy’ of annual conferences by this leading restoration service provider network.

“We need to integrate into this year’s message and let the attendees know we are building off last year’s theme ‘Evolution’, which brutally presented the reality that the market is rapidly changing and businesses that fail to restructure risk going the way of the dinosaur.

“This year’s theme ‘Raising the Sales’ builds on that awareness by looking at ways restorers can not only survive but thrive in an altered market. The 2014 conference will change the audience’s perspective and expectations,” explained Network Group director Ashley Easterby.

In 2013 the Network conference theme was ‘Evolution, how to differentiate and develop a unique strategy’, and led by keynote speaker Pete Consigli. It proved successful in prompting restorers in the need to change with the marketplace and to take advantage, financially, of those changes.

This year, themed ‘Raise the Sales, implement the tactics and close the sale’, will be led by keynote speaker Tim Miller.

“There are thousands of industry marketing gurus but Miller is the one we have chosen as he has strong restoration industry experience and history,” Easterby emphasised.

Miller is the president and chief executive officer of Business Development Associates Inc. A highly regarded sales and marketing expert in the US industry, he brings 30 years of experience and a ‘unique’ perspective to help businesses solve their problems and grow to the next level.

Miller is also a published author in several trade magazines and speaks at multiple industry events and conferences throughout the year, leveraging his business experience in both the restoration industry and his other entrepreneurial ventures. Tim’s expertise in direct marketing programs to the restoration industry will be invaluable. www.GoBDA.com

Plans for the Network Group’s 2015 conference are well advanced. The mooted theme is ‘Plan the Exit’ or ‘Manage the present to exit tomorrow’.

“Delegates will learn how to manage their companies for growth, to build a brand that will pay the owner for a lifetime of work,” explained Easterby. “This is so important, especially considering the high average age of restoration principals. We all want to retire financially secure but what we doing about it?”

Network’s 2015 conference keynote speaker will be Chuck Violand. Having owned a commercial cleaning and water damage mitigation company for some 26 years he understands the challenges of small businesses. Violand founded Violand Management Associates (VMA) in 1988 as a consulting, teaching and training resource for owners of small businesses. www.Violand.com
