NAB Clean significantly expands presence with Eureka acquisition

In what is one of its most significant corporate and marketing initiatives, NAB Clean has expanded its presence in the cleaning products industry having purchased Eureka early July. Eureka, which offers a range of competitive priced quality window cleaning products, enhances NAB’s total offer.

“This is an exciting development for us,” said NAB general manager David Merhi. “We pride ourselves on being able to deliver a very comprehensive product portfolio spanning all key segments of the janitorial industry.

“We recognised that our existing window cleaning range was somewhat fragmented and hence the acquisition of Eureka.”

NAB is a Melbourne-based family-owned company that was established in 1998 by chief executive officer Nabih Merhi. It has a national re-seller network as well as its own sales executives in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

Another family-owned and Melbourne-based business, Eureka was owned by Robert Happell.

There’s little doubt that NAB is a serious player in the Australian cleaning product supply industry. A number of its categories, notably (soap and paper) dispensers and wipes, contain a prodigious number of models and items.

Now, with Eureka on board, NAB has a very comprehensive range of squeegees, poles, a window cleaning kit and window washers.

The squeegee ‘hero’ product is Quad Pro, which features a four-sided rubber blade that doubles blade life. The Quad Pro, with its innovative channel design, can accept both standard and Quad Pro rubber blades. Other Eureka squeegees include stainless steel and brass units.

The squeegees are complemented with a number of poles and a window cleaning kit.

The window washer line-up includes premium microfibre; standard yellow and white; heavy duty washer cover; soft washer cover; window washer complete; and aluminium swivel and plastic T-bars.

“We ensure our NAB product portfolio is ever evolving,” emphasised Merhi. “We recognise the highly competitive nature of the business and we adhere to our credo of ‘NAB Clean: The Professional’s Choice’.
