Held at the Radisson Blu, Sydney, mid-May, the Professional Housekeepers Association of NSW’s (PHAN) Health and Grooming Workshop was not only most entertaining, it was also very educational.

The Workshop was conducted by Brave Training’s Krista Elliott who took PHAN members through very hands-on sessions involving colour design; dress codes and their messages; food; and fitness.

Elliott was then followed by the Marie Brereton Designs’ team which, appropriately, delivered a fashion show involving some PHAN models.

“Fashion communicates a (silent) message,” emphasised Elliott. She explained the ways in which people – male and female – can create a more authoritative message.

Elliott complemented the fashion element of her presentation with some useful insights into healthy food and eating habits; and the value of personal fitness.
