In a 15 July press release, Alfred Karcher GmbH & Co. KG, announced the appointment of Markus Haefeli as the new managing director for its Australian operating subsidiary. Haefeli takes over the position with immediate effect, succeeding Cameron Mole after he resigned from the position.
Hartmut Jenner, chief executive officer and chairman of the management board of Kärcher, stated, “We are very pleased to welcome Markus Haefeli to Kärcher. Australia is an extremely important market for us and we believe he is well qualified to help strengthen our market position and together with the existing Karcher team will capitalise on opportunities for synergies within Kärcher globally.
“Markus is a good fit with our company, and has the experience to drive Kärcher Australia to the next level. I thank Cameron for his contributions to Kärcher’s success over many years and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
‘Haefeli brings more than 13 years of general management experience to his new position,’ stated the release.
‘Simultaneously, in a move to further strengthen the Kärcher business in New Zealand, Mike Roberts has been appointed managing director of Kärcher New Zealand’ having already been responsible for the operational business as a country manager since 2010.
“The business of Kärcher in New Zealand has grown constantly over the past years and has now reached a level which enables us to build up a subsidiary which is more independent and reacts more quickly to market needs than in the past,” Hartmut points out. “We wish Mike all the best in his new role.”
