Worldwide cleaning association ISSA has ended its affiliation with the Middle East Consultancy Association (MECA) after two years.

In a statement ISSA said it will no longer use the organisation as an education and training partner in the Middle East.

The cleaning association said it will now work directly in the region to provide its global Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) workshops and training as well as ISSA’s international Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) certification.

MECA is a professional body for the cleaning and facility management industry in the Middle East, North Africa, South and Central Asia.

It was originally established by leading companies in the Middle East, South Asia and Central Asia to monitor standards and ensure proper representation for the cleaning industry.
