The program, newly launched this week, is ISSA’s latest move to champion the next generation of talent – those under 40 who are already making waves across every corner of the cleaning and hygiene supply chain. From manufacturers and distributors to building service contractors, in-house teams and residential cleaners, the Emerging Leaders initiative is open to all employees of ISSA member companies blazing a trail in their field.
Participation is open to ISSA member organisations and their employees, and nominations are open now until 31 May via a quick online submission. Colleagues and supervisors are encouraged to put forward deserving candidates, while self-nominations are also welcomed. Submissions will be reviewed by our committee, and those selected will be notified by 1 July 2025.
“There’s a surge of fresh energy in our industry right now,” said ISSA executive director John Barrett. “We’re seeing bold new ideas, sharp leadership and a commitment to excellence that deserves more than quiet admiration. Through this program, we’re giving emerging leaders a platform to shine – and in doing so, we’re lifting the entire industry with them.”
Winners of the 2025 Emerging Leaders Program will be celebrated in style this October at the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo in Sydney. Their achievements will also be showcased in the November/December issue of INCLEAN magazine and across ISSA’s global social media channels.
The initiative reflects ISSA’s broader mission to elevate cleaning as a profession and investment. With over 11,000 members worldwide and offices in six countries, the association continues to drive innovation, education and recognition across the sector.
