The ISSA Cleaning and Hygiene Expo is nearly sold out, despite an upgrade in venue and an expanded exhibition space.
Taking place at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Darling Harbour, Sydney, in its new world class venue, the ISSA Cleaning and Hygiene Expo will take place on 29-30 August.
“The 2017 ISSA Cleaning and Hygiene Expo was a turning point for the Australian cleaning industry,” stated Lauren Micallef, Oceania manager, ISSA. “The event was a success all round for both exhibitors and attendees. Our members asked us to keep the momentum going by hosting the 2018 event in a place where they are proud to bring customers, employees and associates.”
In addition to a new location, the ISSA Expo is on track to have more exhibitors, including new participants, some coming from as far away as Europe.
A new carpet and restoration wing also has been added by the Specialised Restoration and Cleaning Professionals (SRCP) association, which recently joined ISSA. Attendees will find speciality exhibitors, two full days of show-floor seminars and a variety of specialty workshops.
Simon Cooper, managing director of organiser Interpoint Events and publisher of INCLEAN magazine, said the show delivered an excellent return for exhibitors and visitors and was warmly welcomed by the cleaning industry.
“This was reflected in the exhibition hall selling out, with more than 70 exhibitors and attendance significantly increased on previous years,” he said. “Along with a record number of entries for the INCLEAN Awards the industry is in a strong position for future development.”
RapidGroup general manager Bruce Lees said last year’s ISSA Expo was the best trade show the organisation has exhibited at for years.
“It was well attended with a positive atmosphere and a good mix of large BSCs and local contractors,” he said.
Abco Products managing director James Bagshaw also commended the show.
“The attendance was excellent, there were numerous innovative products on display and we all enjoyed listening to key business leaders in the industry at the seminars,” he said.
