ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo adds workshops to program

Training workshops to be on offer at the ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo.

This year’s ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo will offer two training workshops as part of its education programme.

On Wednesday 29 August, Bradley Prezant from VA Sciences will be running a Mould Awareness Seminar. The seminar investigates the driving focus around ‘Sick Building Syndrome’, indoor air quality and minimising employee absenteeism. The aim is to provide an understanding of the role of mould on the indoor environment and the implications it presents.

On Thursday 30 August Col Nation from Nation Training will be running two Woolsafe Fibre ID and Stain Removal Workshops. This practical session will provide simple techniques to identify fibres and soiling types.

Registered attendees will be guided on how to use correct cleaning methods and chemistry to remove stubborn stains – such as lipstick, pen, nail polish, red wine and more. Delegates will be provided with the opportunity to test these techniques on samples of aged stains.

This year’s ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo will also house two speaker theatres – the ISSA Speaker Theatre and the SCRP Speaker Theatre. The inaugural SCRP (Specialised Restoration & Cleaning Professionals) Speaker Theatre will focus on carpet cleaning, restoration and remediation.

Panel discussions will also include a Healthcare Panel – Infection/ Prevention; Technology Panel – Market Challenges and Critical Change and – The Evolution of Corporate Culture.

The ISSA Cleaning & Hygiene Expo, presented by ISSA and Interpoint Events, will be held 29 to 30 August at the ICC Sydney in Darling Harbour. The Expo will also be co-located with the Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE), presented by Diversified Communications Australia.
