ISS Facility Services and ISPT have achieved the Cleaning Accountability Framework (CAF) certification at Wintergarden Shopping Mall in Queensland.

Awarded in November 2017, the retail site is the first in Australia to obtain the 3-star certification. CAF is an independent, multi-stakeholder initiative that promotes the adoption of best practice throughout the cleaning supply chain by certifying sites and awarding star ratings.

The three-star standard is an industry benchmark, independently verifying that a site’s industrial practices and working conditions are legally compliant.

Property owner ISPT partnered with CAF to pilot the Framework at three of its retail properties, including Wintergarden in Brisbane’s CBD. ISS has been providing cleaning services at Wintergarden since 2012.

CAF CEO Andrew Thackrah said CAF has been pleased to work with ISPT and ISS to certify Wintergarden shopping centre.

“Wintergarden is now the first retail site in Australia to be certified against the CAF three-star standard. We thank ISPT and ISS for their participation in this process and congratulate them on the outcome”.

Andrew Weaver, ISS executive general manager – specialised services, said that the CAF certification is a great endorsement of ISS’ ethical employment practices.
