The tablet was implemented to improve the quality of cleaning services, as well as the patients’ perception of room cleanliness and their overall hospital experience.

Aaron Cauchi, ISS executive general manager, Health & FM said the patient feedback tablet has been a real success for the ISS’ healthcare team.

“Harnessing this technology has enabled us to improve communication with patients, resulting in enhanced quality outcomes. We are so proud of our Health and IT teams for devising and implementing this innovative tool, which has enhanced the patient experience.”

Northern Health is one of ISS’ largest health contracts in Australia. ISS has self-delivered food and cleaning services at The Northern Hospital in Epping and three other health centres in Northern Melbourne since March 2016.

The FM Awards, designed to recognise and celebrate the most innovative and ground-breaking projects in facility management over the past year, have been judged by a panel of experts from the industry.
