A new CMM survey shows “health and safety” continues to be the most important issue to facility managers and in-house service providers.

When asked to rank issues that were important to their facilities and operations, 81 per cent responded that health and safety was important “to a large extent” in the 2021 CMM In-House /Facility Management Benchmarking Survey. This was up from 76 per cent in 2020 and the same in 2019.

Other issues that ranked in the top five most important issues behind health and safety were improving facility image (74 per cent), improving productivity/efficiencies (71 per cent), security (64 per cent), and asset preservation (56 per cent). This year training/education slipped out of the top five, narrowly, at 55 per cent.
