The American Cleaning Institute (ACI) is offering a free, one hour webinar for educators and health professionals about hygienic hand washing techniques.

“In just 60 minutes, we will share up-to-date information about hand washing that will help others raise the awareness of the importance of hand hygiene in homes, schools, communities and the workplace,” said Nancy Bock, ACI vice president of consumer education.
The ACI — formerly The Soap and Detergent Association — is the Home of the U.S. Cleaning Products Industry® and represents the $30 billion U.S. cleaning products market. ACI members include the formulators of soaps, detergents, and general cleaning products used in household, commercial, industrial and institutional settings; companies that supply ingredients and finished packaging for these products; and oleochemical producers. ACI and its members are dedicated to improving health and the quality of life through sustainable cleaning products and practices.
“Our experts will share practical information about the science and benefits of hand washing, valuable resources, ways to get involved in Global Hand Washing Day (October 15) and how to earn a cash award for school hand washing programs in conjunction with our Healthy Schools, Healthy People program,” Bock added.
The Clean Hands Coalition is a unified alliance of public and private partners working together to create and support coordinated, sustained initiatives to significantly improve health and save lives through clean hands. ACI is a founding member of the Clean Hands Coalition and promotes International Clean Hands Week annually to educate the public about the importance of hand hygiene.
Global Hand Washing Day was created by the Global Public-Private Partnership for Hand Washing in 2008 to foster and support a global culture of hand washing with soap. Each year, over 200 million people are involved in celebrations in more than 100 countries around the world.
