Entries open for Australia’s Best Bathroom competition

Annual competition to find Australia’s Best Bathroom 2019 now open.

Entries are now open for the 2019 Best Bathroom Competition, run by Australian facilities management exhibition Total Facilities, in partnership with INCLEAN magazine.

Public conveniences at airports, schools, RSLs, hotels and environment agencies have all been finalists in the annual competition over previous years.

Last year’s winner, Merrylands RSL Club in Sydney [pictured], featured seven luxurious, private female cubicles with individual basins, stylish accessories and inlay metallic bronze feature tiles.

Total Facilities event manager Andrew Lawson said the aim of the competition is not only to advocate washroom well-being, but also to encourage awareness of some of the best bathrooms in Australia among facilities and workplace management professionals.

“We’ve had such a variety of entries, from high-end luxury to a remote area, waterless pod-designed toilet, we can’t wait to see what’s in store this year,” he said.

To enter, your bathroom must be located in an Australian public or private building, you must be a professional working within the facilities function at your workplace and be able to provide photographic evidence of the bathroom.

Bathroom entries will be judged on design, innovation, aesthetics and products and services that improve well being for everyone.

Enter via the Total Facilities website by writing in 50 words or less why your bathroom is the best Australia has to offer.

Entries are now open until Friday 1 March 2019 and will be judged by a panel based on eligibility, style, comments and cooperation with the process.

The winner will be announced via the Total Facilities website and Twitter page on Tuesday 12 March 2019 and will take home the coveted title of ‘Australia’s Best Bathroom’.

Finalists will be invited to attend the event where their nomination will be on display in a designated feature display at the show.
