Foodservice Australia 2014 was held at the Royal Hall of Industries at Moore Park Sydney 25 to 27 May offering a selection of commercial equipment, products and services for the food and hospitality industries – including a few utilised by cleaners. Steam Australia, Ecolab, Bastion and Agserv were the exhibitors representing the cleaning and hygiene industry.
Mark Rosenberg from Steam Australia was kept busy with a stream of visitors to his stand as he displayed his range of commercial steam cleaning machines that sanitise kitchens, bathrooms and upholstery. Machines specifically catered to the food and hospitality industry are the Pegaso commercial steam cleaner and the Supervap industrial steam cleaner with optional vac.
This was Ecolab’s first Foodservice trade expo and Grant Warner was on the stand promoting its Next Generation antibacterial manual and touch-free hand cleanser dispenser systems. Both dispense liquids and gels so it’s versatile with different sanitising hand products and ideal for maintaining hand hygiene in a food service facility.
Bastion had its full range of personal barrier protection on display including HACCP certified gloves, disposable protective clothing, respirators, eyewear and absorbent wipes. Catering to the demand for infection control and higher food hygiene standards, Bastion’s Scott Joyce commented that this was the perfect target audience for the company’s products.
And a final visit to Agserv, a distributor that is new to INCLEAN, where Michael Harband showcased a range of bio drain cleaners from InVade, which the company imports from the UK – perfect for cleaning commercial kitchen and bathroom drains. With the demand for a higher standard of clean in the food services industry, an increased focus on cleaning and hygiene is a must for future expos.
