Elyptol gains momentum as more move towards green

Elypto's Michael Ziaras speaks to Claire Hibbit about the company's plans for Australia.

Elyptol’s suite of new products have begun rolling out to Chemist Warehouse pharmacies nationally, as the hand sanitiser brand continues to gain traction in the local marketplace.

Launched in the US in 2014, Elyptol opened a local office in Melbourne this year. Michael Ziaras, general manager – sales and marketing of Elyptol Australia says Elyptol products provide a natural healthy alternative for its customers, with occupational health and safety in mind.

“Elyptol has subsequently evolved into a broader brand with a focus on multiple channels, such as retail, corporate, cleaning, to provide the wider public with a powerful natural hand sanitising solution, without harmful toxic chemicals, which will not react with skin or exacerbate allergic conditions,” Ziaras said.

Winner of this year’s INCLEAN Innovation Award in the Cleaning Agents category, the Elyptol product range is also available through Winc, Officemax, Medshop, McFarlane Medical, as well as its newly launched online store.

Elyptol’s product range includes hand sanitising gels and sprays in 60ml, 250ml and 500ml bottles, as well as 1.25 litre bottles for wall mounted and freestanding dispensing solutions. In addition to the range of hand sanitisers, the company is expected to release hand and hard surface wipes in Australia this year.

“Given the natural benefits of the Elyptol product range, we are constantly looking to expand the range with new products which are aligned to our natural and healthy strategies,” Ziaras said.

“We are very focused on educating the wider public on healthy alternatives whilst maintaining gold standards in efficacy and product development.”

Ziara says there is a general push towards more natural and healthier alternatives as consumers become more educated and aware of what they’re putting on their hands.

“The movement towards a “greener” society is definitely gaining traction and more interest,” he said.

In light of this, Elytron’s PET sanitising bottles and HDPE canister wipes packaging are green product endorsed, as its biodegradable hand wipes made from bamboo. Elytpol has also developed longer angled dispensing pumps in its bottles to ensure there is less than 5ml of fluid left in the bottles.

“We are focused on providing all segments with a natural, healthy hand sanitising solution that matches the gold standard in providing bacterial, fungal and viral protection.

“Our products are developed without harmful toxic chemicals, are not tested on animals, have been tested by dermatologists and also meet the strict guidelines of Good Environmental Choice Australia guidelines.”
