The platform gives ACS cleaning teams a direct digital connection to site operations, allowing them to log attendance, receive tasks and special requests, record completed work and provide updates to management as work is carried out.

Because cleaning often takes place after hours and largely out of sight, verifying what has happened on-site can be difficult, and ACS Connect addresses this by creating a digital record of attendance, tasks, special requests and completed work, giving ACS management and clients greater visibility into service delivery.

“We built ACS Connect to create greater accountability around the work we do every day,” says Associated Cleaning Services managing director Troy Cotterrell. “Cleaning is often happening behind the scenes, so it’s important there is a clear, reliable record of attendance, tasks and requests. ACS Connect gives our teams, our management and our clients a better view of what’s happening on-site.”

A single system for teams, management and clients

For cleaners working across hundreds of sites every day, ACS Connect provides a single digital system for receiving instructions and site-specific requests, acting on those requests and recording work as completed, while management gains a clearer view of activity across sites, and clients gain greater visibility into the work being carried out on their behalf.

“For us, this is more than putting an app in the hands of our cleaners,” Cotterrell says. “It changes the way information flows through a cleaning operation. When you have teams working across more than 500 sites, having a consistent digital system for communicating tasks, recording activity and tracking completion can make a meaningful difference to how the service is managed.”

The launch forms part of ACS’s broader investment in technology and operational systems, as the company looks to modernise the way cleaning services are communicated, managed and documented across its national operations.

“The cleaning industry has changed significantly, but many of the processes used to manage cleaning have remained largely manual,” explains Cotterrell. “We see an opportunity to use technology where it genuinely improves the way our people work and gives our clients greater confidence in the service being delivered.”

ACS Connect is being deployed across ACS operations in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, supporting cleaning teams working across client sites nationally.
