Coxen Chemicals Pty Ltd, trading as Coxen Cleaning Supplies, is back under the control of founder Peter Coxen.

Coxchem was established 38 years ago in Cairns servicing from Cardwell in the South to the Torres Straits in the north and west to the Tablelands and Gulf.

Peter and Jenny Coxen retired from the business in December 2005 and moved to their property at Japoonvale. Jenny passed away in May 2015.

Neville D’Arcy was appointed GM in 2005 and guided the company’s growth into the largest cleaning supply operation in the north.

Sadly, D’Arcy has been diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of bladder cancer and has commenced palliative care.

Coxen said he has come back into the company to “keep the chair warm until a new owner is found to carry on the company’s growth”.

Coxen Cleaning Supplies manufacture and distribute a comprehensive range of cleaning chemicals and markets a full inventory of cleaning equipment, janitorial supplies, floor-care machinery and pressure washers.

The company has always serviced the commercial cleaning industry as well as the industrial, educational, healthcare, hospitality and marine sectors.

  1. It is with Regret that I advise that Neville D’Arcy lost his battle with aggressive Bladder Cancer on Valentine’s Day, 14th February, 2021 . Neville was just 59 years old.
