CleanScene celebrates final show before ISSA revival

Presented by the NCSA the 2016 Clean Scene trade exhibition, in conjunction with Safety in Action, saw an influx of attendees during the morning across all three days, held from Tuesday 6 to Thursday 8 September at Sydney Showground.

Presented by the National Cleaning Suppliers Association (NCSA) the 2016 CleanScene trade exhibition, in conjunction with Safety in Action, saw an influx of attendees during the morning across all three days, held from Tuesday 6 to Thursday 8 September at Sydney Showground. With the excitement of the recent NCSA/ISSA partnership, exhibitors said they are looking forward to some positive developments for the show in the near future.

With 34 exhibitors on the show floor visitors to this year’s CleanScene had the opportunity to see an array of cleaning machinery, jansan products, carpet cleaning equipment, cleaning chemicals and online management systems to improve and grow their businesses. The show also featured a number of overseas manufacturers from Asia.

The show floor was the centre stage for exhibitors to showcase their stands in hope to be a contender for this year’s awards – Best Small Stand (under 18 square metre), Best Large Stand (over 18 square metre) and Best Display of the show. Two companies that won awards at the previous show held their prestige, with E.D. Oates winning Best Large Stand and Best Display going to Abco Products. Meanwhile, Sabco was new to the fold being awarded Best Small Stand for 2016.

Tim Pugh, i-Mop Manager AU & NZ from Abco Products said the company was very pleased with winning the Best Stand award. “The stand’s main feature was the i-mop and winning this award reflects just how innovative and revolutionary the world’s most compact and manoeuvrable scrubber-dryer is. It’s with solutions like the i-mop that we here at Abco can make a real difference in the lives and businesses of our customers across Australia,” he commented.

National industrial sales manager for E.D. Oates, Lucas Paris, also shared his reaction to winning an award for the second consecutive year.  “It’s a fantastic result to win another award this year!! Our marketing and sales teams along with a plethora of other Oates team members work extremely hard to ensure the show is a success,” he shared. “It’s an added bonus to win an award and get recognition from the industry. We are already looking forward to the next show.”

The standout award of the night, however, was the Innovative Product Award, which was given to Ian Potter from Steam-e for his Renclean escalator cleaning system. “I am very excited to have won the Innovation Award for the new Renclean Escalator Cleaning System,” he said. “Steam-e Australia has been set up as a specialist innovation company specifically for the cleaning industry. The product is the safest and easiest way to clean, and keep clean year round what was once the most difficult part of a facility to clean.

“Unlike many of the systems that have been around since I started in the industry 22 years ago, Renclean will not damage the escalator in any way. Many thanks to the NSCA for both the show and the award,” added Ian.
