More than 180 industry representatives joined together to celebrate the 2016 BSCAA Victoria AustraliaSuper Industry Excellence Awards, which BSCAA executive director, Carolyn Journeaux, described as “a night to remember for winners and guests”.
The awards, held at the Leonda By The Yarra on Friday 18 November, saw 58 finalists across 13 categories.
“The atmosphere is electric and the winners are to be commended for all their hard work and dedication to their clients and employers,” Journeaux said.
Among the award highlights, Maria Mariona from CMC Property Services was named Cleaner of the Year. Martie Thompson from GJK Facility Services won Manger of the Year, while Kaplan Services’ Shannon Smith took out Young Manager of the Year. Sebastian Property Services received the award for Outstanding Achievement in Environmental Sustainability.
Journeaux also thanked the event’s sponsors including AustralianSuper, Central Cleaning Supplies, Melbourne Cleaning Supplies, Kimberly-Clark, JS Hayes and Agar Cleaning Systems.
“Without the contribution of these supporters the worthy recipients on the night would not have the opportunities to be recognised by their peers,” she said.
